  Perfect place to relax

  Everything went smoothly, from airport greeting to check out. The resort is great and the snorkeling around the reef/island was exceptional. Italian Restaurant was fantastic. Our overwater villa was perfect. A great place to relax or jump on tours/activities for more action.

  Returned again from August 5-8 for the second time due to getting a special price, including the seaplane, for around 63,000 THB. Still as impressed as ever, the Sunset Water Villa, room 88, has a beautiful coral reef, and we often encountered baby sharks every time we went into the water from the Villa. The accommodation is spacious, and the kids could stay in the overwater Villa. The manta ray activity was fun and worthwhile, but unfortunately, we didn’t spot any whale sharks on the whale shark trip. The food is quite expensive but reasonable. If there’s another promotional price, we will definitely come back again.

  BEST TRIP OF OUR LIVES!

  My husband and I booked a 10-day stay at Centara Grand Maldives for our honeymoon, and little did we know that it would be the MOST INCREDIBLE trip of our lives!!! The staff on the island are truly amazing. Their warmth and genuine hospitality made us feel like we were at home. From the friendly greetings and questions about our day, to the immediate assistance whenever we needed anything, every moment was filled with great care and attention. Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude for everyone who cared for us during these ten incredible days. A special thank you goes out to those who went above and beyond to make this the most unforgettable trip of our lives. First, we want to express our gratitude to Tharu, the reservation agent. We exchanged so many emails over the months leading up to our stay, filled with countless questions, and Tharu always responded with kindness and patience, ensuring our stay was perfectly planned. We stayed in the sunset overwater villa with a pool, which gave us access to “The Club” throughout our stay. Here, we met the most incredible staff members who made us feel truly welcomed! Irfan and Chef Senthil, in particular, had a profound impact on our experience. Irfan's kindness and readiness to assist us with anything we needed truly made a huge difference on our stay. Chef Senthil delighted us with the most delicious food we've ever tasted, elevating every meal into a memorable experience. We cannot thank you enough, Irfan and Senthil, for everything you’ve done for us. We are eternally grateful and will cherish these memories forever. We are longing to see you again! ❤️ We also want to extend our heartfelt thanks to Richard, June, and Vay for also taking such great care of us!   Beautiful property, average service

  We stayed for three nights on an all inclusive package. We were in a Duplex Beach villa. The property is stunning. Clean beaches with soft, white sand, beautiful clear water and an amazing reef. The villa was clean and well maintained though the air-conditioning took time to kick in and the sleeping area on the mezzanine level felt very claustrophobic. Full marks though for the thoughtfully provided loos on both levels. However, the staff of the resort are not the best trained in customer care. They seem to happily cater to Asian and European tourists, leaving the rest of us feeling a bit unwelcome. I have to say that the Maldivian staff were very polite and professional but not the rest. One young Asian lady staff member would simply look through us when we greeted her. The main issue for us was the business like attitude of the resort. We have been to other resorts in South Ari Atoll, (in November 2022 and January of this year) whose websites clearly described the All Inclusive package and left nothing unsaid. There were no hidden loopholes. Here, one feels a bit cheated because the website doesn't clearly indicate your choices. For example, we assumed that an all inclusive package meant that we could eat anything we liked in the restaurants at any time, with the exception of certain items not in our category. But it was far more restricted. We could only eat three main meals, no snacks or ice cream in between. At the only two restaurants serving a la carte options, we had to select a three course option (one appetiser, one main dish, one dessert) from the menu, instead of choosing whatever we liked, as in the other resorts. The food was plenty, I agree, but it was the restrictions that were odd. I wouldn't even have minded that if the website had been upfront and direct. Besides the three meals, we were offered the grandiosely named Afternoon tea. It was a disaster. Stale sandwiches slapped together carelessly, samosas out of a freezer pack and very iffy pastries slammed down on the table - I've never been served afternoon tea in quite this fashion. The point is, if you're offering something, whether it is all inclusive packages or afternoon tea, do it right. Don't offer something and then leave the customer feeling short changed. It's a pity about the service because the food in the Thai restaurant was wonderful, the room quite nice, the Thai spa very good and the natural beauty simply stunning.

  Happy family time at centara

  Centara Resort is a paradise on earth. We stayed at the water villa and beach villa @centrara Thanks so much to the warmth and hospitality, the staff service was excellent and outstanding. This has turned out to be the best vacation we have had so far. We loved every moment and highly recommend. If you’re decided to travel to this resort, you won’t be disappointed. You are paying for quality. My kid is having dietary restrictions so the resort staff has made special arrangements to accommodate our requirements and it was really helpful for us. We will be forever be grateful to all the staff who supported us by providing their best services. We will be forever be grateful to the below staff for their dedication of their excellent service.   A Holiday Home away from Home

  My fellow country men who were working at the resort made our experience so welcoming and homely that we didn’t feel we are away from our home. Anywhere we go before that they knew we are from their country and they greeted ted us so warmly that our heart melt. Mr. Farukh took us to the room while checking in and after that everything was so warm and welcoming. When we go to water activity center the person already knew about us and tried to help us to choose the right activities and guided us although he was new to that center. When we went to Italian restaurant Ashik was there asking what else can he do for us and the kids. He also invited us to Thai restaurant for next lunch as he will be there and booked our lunch. We went there and he just tried everything he could to make us feel happy. At the end when we went to Dinner at Reef another two person from Bangladesh came to meet us. We never felt so we warmly welcomed anywhere we have ever went in our life. Thank to the management to keep such smiling people to make our stay memorable.

  A Memorable Family vacation

  **Hotel Review: A Memorable Family Vacation** We recently enjoyed a family vacation at Centara from June 13-18, and it was truly unforgettable. We got an upgrade to pool villa with beachfront location provided stunning ocean views and easy access to various water activities. Snorkeling was a highlight, with clear waters and vibrant marine life. The scuba diving experience was exhilarating, thanks to the hotel's excellent dive center and knowledgeable instructors. The hotel's array of games and activities, including beach volleyball and an exciting game room, kept us entertained throughout our stay. Dining was a delight, with diverse cuisines and fresh seafood, especially enjoyed with the beachfront ambiance. The staff's exceptional service and attention to detail made our stay even more special. Centara provided the perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, and family fun. Highly recommended for a memorable vacation experience!

  10 stars if we could!!

  It was a most excellent stay, in such beautiful surroundings, making the celebration of our Golden Wedding Anniversary very special not least as we had not booked any special package. The staff took special care of us to ensure we had a very memorable time. Thank you especially to Nalin for your thoughtfulness, Ibrahim who looked after our villa (47) and created the most wonderful artwork in our room on at least 4 occasions (leaving us with the dilemma of where to sleep one night as we didn't want to spoil the beautiful creation he had made on our bed!!!!!!!), of Hassan who took such care to ensure the 2 dive experiences were enjoyed - so much encouragement, of Mitchel and Ashik who looked after us and waited on us at the Reef restaurant and the singer, whose name we failed to note, who sang for us on various occasions and made us feel very special. We were, and still are, overwhelmed by the attention we received and the graciousness in everything that was done for us. In addition, we particularly enjoyed snorkelling on the house reef nearly every day. It was just magical being able to swim among the beautiful fish, so many varieties (and a turtle) and at such close quarters. Something never experienced before. Everyone was warm and welcoming and from start to finish our time on Centara Grand will be a highlight for us. We are so thankful that we chose Centara Grand as the place to celebrate this special time in our married lives. Thank you for all that you did. If we could we would give you 10 stars!!

  What an Amazing place to stay, Food, staff and facilities are exactly what you imagine when you think Maldives. We Did all the tours and fun activities and still relaxed. The Fishing charter was very expensive and they only had one rod for four people to jig with but we still got A yellow fin Tuna which they cooked for us.

  Maldives!!!

  This was our first overseas family holiday with Children aged 2, 5 & 7 and the experience we had at Centra was nothing short of perfection in our eyes! The kids had the most amazing holiday and that was largely due to the wonderful service we experienced, mainly through out the Reef Restaurant and Coral Bar. The staff at Reef during our buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner made the experience very special for our Children, so much to the fact that they created a nice farewell message on a table for us and when one of the the young waiters came to say good bye to our boys, our eldest was brought to tears as he was very to sad to be leaving and felt as if he created a great friendship with the waiter. The snorkeling on the house reef around the entire island was memorizing and I can only imagine would be very hard to beat. If you love the ocean then I highly recommend staying here with your family! It was a very special holiday for our family and one we will cherish forever, thank you so much to the entire team, we will be sure to return one day
