Sompong Athathet
Chef de Cuisine - Suan Bua
He grew up watching his mother prepare food at the family's restaurant in Pattaya, Thailand, and by the time he was eight years old, he was helping the restaurant with simple tasks. He shared his mother's desire for people in Thailand and abroad to taste authentic Thai food, and he began to aspire to become a chef. After graduating from a university in Bangkok with a degree in culinary arts, he worked for an airline company and a hotel in Bangkok. He has also worked at "Baan Khanitha", an upscale restaurant that has been featured in various guidebooks and has been visited by Thai royalty, and at "Saffron", a restaurant in the luxurious Banyan Tree Hotel, as the exclusive chef for VIPs. He has also worked in restaurants and hotels not only in Thailand but also in Mexico, Macau, Japan, and Vietnam. With over 20 years of experience as a chef in various countries, he hopes to bring the people of Osaka to enjoy authentic Thai cuisine. Her hobbies include watching movies and shopping, and her favorite Japanese foods include sashimi, udon noodles, and onigiri rice balls.
